Thread: Clerics & Differents; The War Starts Now!

You are caught in the middle of a war that has been secretly raging for centuries. You must choose which side you will aid-- The Differents who are civil warriors with special abilities or Clerics, federal agents bent on slaughtering every last Different.

This is just a character creation thread, once enough people (4ish to 5ish) join I will start the RP. This is my first, so Good Luck!

Name : Malich

Age : 137 ( Enhanced Age )

Appearance : Anyone that has seen Malich is either dead or a soldier under his command. He trieds at best to remain hidden but will emerge to hunt for special Differents. He is tall and broad, and can be found wearing tough and versitle armor. His favored weapon is his knife, which he uses to 'finish' anyone after a fight.

Side : Cleric

Power : Enhanced Strength

Personality : Intellegent, Unmerciful, Leadership, and Anger-Filled

History : For the sake of Malich's military career, his history had to be deleted from the National Archives otherwise the government would've imprisoned him and most likely kill him. He has backgrounds in murder of all degrees, kidnapping, grand theft auto, attempted genocide, attempted murder, theft, manslaughter, and was nearly Dishonorably Discharged three times ( reasons are currently classified ).

Well, I'll make a start on another mystery character!

Original name: Alex Brasis
New Name (Known by everyone): Desumo.

Age: 36

Appearance: He is tall, but not broad shoulders. His advanced training did not affect him through muscle, but through skill, so he is not muscly and doesn't look a challenge. He wears simple clothes, and usually covers his head for protection.

Side: Different

Power: Electrokinesis (generation and manipulation of electricity).

Personality: He is very mysterious, and will help someone that will help him. But if someone would not help him, he would not help them. Despite the fact he will seem very patriotic to his kind, there is more than meets the eye.

History: Smith was born into a normal family, and he discovered his gift while watching TV with his parents, so they instantly knew. That week they never looked at him again, and then one day he came home from school, but the locks were changed. A note was left on the door. He wasn't expected home ever again. Last he heard, his father was connected with the clerics very well.
Recently, Smith has been moving around. He is well known throughout the world of the Different, but no one knows his current name, nor his current location. This is because Clerics have always been looking for him due to his mass terrorism to make Differents known to them. He is known for rounding groups of powerful Differents and attacking a camp of Clerics.

Name: Alexxandra Leigh ((Alexx))

Age: 17

Appearance: 5'9 in height. Long black hair, pale skin. Her eyes are a deadly crimson. Alexx is very thin from under nourishment at a young age. She has a long scar across her face and scars covering her back and arms. Which are thouroghly covered by bandages, over which she wears a sleevless leather shirt, and leather pants.

Side: Differents

Power: Telekinesis (Ability to manipulate time, space, energy beyond the laws of physics)

Personality: Alexx is one of the youngest in the differents resistance but this very rarely stops her from doing what she has to do. Having grown up around adults age is never an issue for her, so she is just as likely to talk back to her superiors as she is a person of her own age.

History: Alexx was orphaned by the war meaning from the moment she could control her power she was out fighting. Alexx discovered her power one morning when she accidentally made her bed float. This was the one good thing that came in her life.

Name : Joshua 'Fireball' Hall

Age : 19

Appearance : Joshua is of normal height but is well built thanks to lots of exercise and boxing. He has short, brown hair. Green eyes. He is normally seen wearing a pair of jeans, a GnR t-shirt and a leather jacket.

Side : Differents

Power : Pyrokinesis (can make fire appear anywhere he wants with a thought. Can control fire and is immune to burning)

Personality : Josh is an alright guy once you get to know him. He's easy going, likeable enough and quite smart. But when Josh is put into a fighting situation he will stop at nothing until he has won.

History : Josh is from a quite poor family so he had to struggle right from the start. He went to a boxing club since the age of twelve to help him deal with his anger and won several regional chapionships due to his determination to win no matter what.
He slowly migrated away from boxing when he got into a good school on his own merit and began to take an interest in fencing. The interest also brought him regional fame in that field as well but during his last year of school a long line of fire trailed off of his training rapier and killed his training partner.
Since then Josh has severed all human contact apart from his boxing club. He still manages to go to the club on thursday night, without fail, to train. Josh only learnt of the war when one of the Clerics came to the club. Josh killed the Cleric and still sticks to his sheduale and goes to the club every thursday, despite the rotting corpse of a Cleric is hidden under the floor boards.

Okay, so now we've got 3 Differents. I think we should get two Clerics now ( No one likes the bad guys )

Name : Eddie Van Moores

Age : 37

Appearance : Eddie looks like a template of a man. He has a face of average size, shape and feature; his skin is light enough to be caucasian but dark enough to be any number of other ethniticities; his hair toes the line between light brown and dark blonde. He appears average in every way, which helps him to blend into almost any situation, and this has helped him attain a rank with the Clerics that few men his age have.

Power : An experimental wunderkind of the Clerics, Eddie is fitted out with some of the most advanced cybernetic implants and biochemical neurostimulants in development. He has generally heightened senses of sight, hearing and touch, and can adjust these to either end of the spectrum at will. His eyes have been fitted with a tiny light-node projection system that focuses concentrated beams on light onto the rods and cones of his eyeball, allowing him to view remote data feeds from the Clerics at will.

Eddie is the test subject for the Cleric's latest and most advanced implant yet, the Synchornized Low Oscelator, or S.L.O, a combination of cybernetic implants in the lobes of his brain and a chemical delivery system attached to his spine. By overloading the brain with highly concentrated electronic pulses and injecting a chemically pure form of adrenaline into his system, the implant effectively forces the brain to process at a faster speed. The effect is similar to the phenomenon experienced by people in dangerous situations where they claim that 'time seems to stop' or 'slow down'. Eddie can turn this on and off at will, however, to use it too often or for too extended a period of time (more then a few seconds) would, as he has been told, most likely fricasee his brain in his head.

Eddie is a dangerous marksman on his own, but with his various cybernetic enhancements he becomes an enigma. For the last six years he's been called on to demonstrate trick shooting at the annual Cleric Potluck. However, no one has seen him shoot since S.L.O. was installed.

Eddie's implants are all geared towards stealth, speed and sensation. He is not physically strong or particularly athletic in any remarkable way, and his cybernetics do not bother to augment this.

Personality : Eddie is a dispassionate, emotionless wreck of a human being. Since recruitment into the Clerics he has shed whatever remainder of a life he had once had, and the chemical control cybernetics have allowed him to destroy what shreds of emotion remained. Every waking minute is spent either in the pursuit of the Cleric's goals or in the perfection of his personal obsessions: stealth, subterfuge and sharpshooting. His one true emotional foible is the arrogant pleasure he derives from his own greatness.

History : Eddie was plucked of the streets of some slum no one bothers to remember around the age of sixteen. At that time he was a 'cyber lo-tech', injecting nanodevices into his blood stream and mainlining delivery chemicals. After a particularly long and bad dint of street running he was brought to a hospital, completely insane and charged up with more chemicals and faulty cybernetic implants then the doctors had ever heard of. The Clerics found him immediately. Their desire to groom him to their own plans was quickly shattered when Eddie's willingness to take on new technologies and chemicals vastly outpaced their desire to put them in him.

Among the lower ranks of the Clerics (particularly those directly under Eddie, and those who have been passed over in his place) there is a popular theory that Eddie is the result of a genetic Cleric experiment meant to breed a new generation of children with more powerful chemical receptors but weaker chemical producing organs, to heighten the effects of biochemical cybernetics. This is, unfortunately, not true. The fact is that Eddie's mother just drank alot while she was pregnant with him.
