Here's the proposed format.

FREQUENCY:
  • A new writing challenge will be posted every other day at an as of yet undecided time, the topic and posting limit set by the Judge. Anyone interested in being a Judge can sign up, and we'll rotate through the list. If a judge doesn't post within a few hours of the deadline we'll go to the next person on the list, and so on.
  • Once a Judge posts the topic and word limit, everyone will have 24 hours to submit their posts. The Judge will then choose a winner at the end of the second day.

TOPICS:
  • Topics can be anything. They should be simple ideas that can be expressed in one or two sentences. As this is supposed to be an exercise in quick, simple writing, posting limits should generally be around 500 words, but can expand above or below that if it's important to the challenge.
  • If there are no responses to a topic after 24 hours, the next judge will be chosen and a new topic will be set.
TOPIC TYPES:
  • Not sure on this, but I think it'd be nice to have a rotating topic type, one thing that this piece HAS to be; first person, third person, fiction, non-fiction, all dialogue, no dialogue, etc. Post your suggestions for Topic Types if you can think of any.
I'll just start doing this. If anyone's interested in joining in or getting into the Judge rotation, please let me know.

I'll post the first challenge tomorrow. Thanks for reading.
