Maybe the children haven't been infected with a plague, but because of no other apparent reasons, that it has been assumed that the cause is a plague. And it would be intresting to throw in a few children that had powers. Their powers could be amplified by the plague. Oh and the reason that the students haven't been affected, could be that the school is in Japan or china, as they are not mentioned to be affected by the plague.

Maybe a new blood type. Only people with a specific blood type were able to survive, or people without any blood at all. This could also explain their strange abilities.

Or, yeah, Like you said Aura, somewhere far away from where it is spreading.

The acadamy - The acadamy is on a small series of islands near Cuba. No one objected because the plague had already destroyed the population of Cuba, Mexico and most of the US.

the plague - The plague only takes control of people younger than ten. No one knows why (I do but I'm being greedy and you'll have to wait). I can tell you that the 'plague' isn't a disease. The plague will be explained later on in more detail.
The reason why I made it so that the plague only effected young children was to rule out the idea of the adults using the military to kill the plague bearers. There simply aren't enough evil people in the world with access to guns to ruthlessly slaughter children who are not in control of their bodies. It was merely so that the plague wouldn't have been eradicated. During the course of the RP we will learn that the plague has started to target older victims, causing great distress because it is yet another major threat to humanity's survival.

Heroes - The Heroes are not effected by the plague because of their powers. However, the acadamy is not the only ones to start using super powered children and people behind the plague will be using them against the acadamy, along with older people with powers.

Renos Babe - I'm still in love with Flare RB I'm sure that James will be able to take her mind off it eventually. Besides... James killed most of his family as well, but he won't be able to feel the guilt until he is with Flare. Then they can be guilt ridden together and two guilt ridden people usually sort each others problems out, I find

The Situation - The situation faced by the students and teachers is a tough one and all of them will feel like their struggle to save humanity is going to be made unclean by the means in which the race has to be saved. Even the normally emotionless James would be dead set against killing children but he is emotionless enough to see that it is the only way to stop the plague from spreading, although billions of dollars will be spent everyday to try and find a cure to the plague, most of this cash comes from nations but James has added his own personal bank accounts to the mix.

That's cleared alot up Nefie, Thanks

So, basically we are kind off a bunch of students who need to control their powers so they can save man-kind.

    Cliche?

    I think not

    Name: Jack Malifi
    Age: 15
Power: Jack can grow larger and stronger at the expense of brain cells, making him strong but dumb. He can also shrink himself, becoming a genius at the expense of his strength. The transformation can go on in either direction until he gets too stupid to maintain thought or two weak to keep living. At that point, reflex sets him back to his normal size and intellect.
Background: As a boy, Jack was the nerd at school who was bad at sports. The target of teasing and bullying, Jack often had fantasies about obtaining super strength and getting his revenge. He eventually grew into an angry, cynical person. Jack discovered his powers at age twelve when he accidentally grew to the size of a house and crushed a bully who had been picking on him at school. Though his parents were supportive of him through the turmoil, the town had grown to hate him. Soon after these events, he was taken in by the academy and was forgotten from the minds of his fellow students who had never paid much attention to him in the first place.

    How's that?

Yeah it would be if not for the plague bearers. That means that these students are no longer kids. These are emotionally hardened people with a job. Or decomposing corpses. Simple really

Monkuta - Good char. He is, of course, accepted into the acadamy.

    Lessons - Lessons consist of,
1/ Basic Power Control - Teacher: Flare
2/ Advanced Power Control (selected students only) - Teacher: Dru
3/ Academic Lessons - Teacher: Various professional teachers
4/ Survival Trainning - Teacher: James
5/ Melee Weapon Training - Teacher: James
6/ IED Training - Teacher: Josh Barlon (NPC)
7/ Physical Training - Teacher: Dru
8/ Phycology (to deal with having to fight the enemy) - Teacher: James/Flare
9/ Teamwork Building - Teacher: Dru, Flare and James
10/ Simulated Training (this will hurt. Nothing else needs to be said.) - Teacher: No teachers.

Everyone will have the same timetable (otherwise it will get too complicated) but the students are broken into groups according to ability for the academic lessons.

    May I join, Nefie? Please....
Typos are very important to all written form. It gives the reader something to look for so they aren't distracted by the total lack of content in your writing.

Monkuta - As soon as I have written an intro piece we can start. This can take me anything from half an hour to an hour with other commitments included. But it'll be up before 9.00

Renos - Yeah, thanks for changing it. It was just that if it had stayed the same James would have been a 20 year old man dating a 14 girl... awkward much?

mi is happy - Of course you can Mi just make a profile and you're in.

Kast13 - You still need a profile before you can play man...

Look, there's actually a profile here now:

    Name: Alaine Curie
    Age: 16
    Power: Shapeshifting

Appearance: Appearance is of little significance when describing Alaine, as her power negates any attempt to make a lasting description. However, in general she takes on the form of a women in her mid-thirties, with shoulder length mousy blonde hair, and crystal blue eyes. She usually has a fairly thin frame, and takes on a height of approximately 5'8".

History: Alaine was raised in the countrside of England, with her parents and two brothers. She was the youngest of the three, but always felt that she was more mature than both of her brothers put together - though nobody ever saw it that way. She always dreamed of growing up and escaping her youthful body, so that people would treat her as a mature adult. One day, she woke up in the body of a thirty year old, and after some mental experimentation, she found that she could take on any form she wished. Eventaully, she settled upon the thirty year old body, as suddenly people by default assumed she was just as mature as she always thought she was, which suited Alaine perfectly.

The name 'Tsaeb' is pronounced 'zabe'. Not 't-sabe'. Not 'sabe'. It's 'zabe'. Period.
