Thread: Faithless

John raised an eyebrow,
"Good one..."
Layla laughed,
"Naming an album based on one song is a bit lame isn't it?" she scowled Zandra. John growled a little,
"No. No it isn't." he patted Zandra on the knee, "Good idea. That's a keeper. But what about... 'Today's the day?'"

"I like that one" Zandra said quietly starting to struggle with her shyness now.

John smiled at her and patted her on the knee again, giving it a comforting squeeze when Layla wasn't looking. Layla frowned,
"So now we have to pick a winner..." she mused. John smiled a little,
"How about we go with Elevation?"

Ziadia shook her head, "No, Layla's right it was a crappy idea, we'll go with Today's the day"

John nodded a little,
"Well... if you're sure." he smiled at Layla and the cameras, "The new album is called, 'Today's the day'."
Layla clapped excitedly,
"Wow! That was fun!" she turned to the cameras, "Unfortunately that's all we have time for today. Join us again tomorrow for my interview with KoRn."
The camera's red lights all blinked off as one,
"And we're... out!" called a voice from somewhere. Layla's smile disappeared and she stormed off,
"Where the hell is my latte?!" she demanded. John raised an eyebrow,
"I think that means we can leave."

Zandra nodded and stood up, slowly walking down the hallway which they entered when her phone went off in her back pocket.
"Shit, i forgot i had it" She mumbled pulling it out and looking at the caller ID. Her heart stopped when she saw that it was her mother calling. Dread began to fill her, flipping it open she answered,
"Hello" Sobbing reached her ears, and Zandra completely froze.
"He's gone Zan, he's gone" Her mothers painfilled voice said through the speaker. Zandra dropped the phone, not noticing as it smashed on the floor. She just stood there in shock, her mind unwilling to comprehend what she had just heard.

John frowned when Zandra stopped walking and arched an eyebrow,
"You okay?" he asked her. He saw the expression on her face and wrapped his arms round her, "What happened Zan? Tell me."

Zandra barely noticed Johns arms around her as the world came crushing back to her, her mind began to panic as she removed herself from John,
"I've got to go" Was all she murmured before rushing out of the tv station and hailing the first cab she sore.

John ran after Zandra and just managed to catch her as the cab drew up onto the curb,
"Tell me Zan, I could help!" he pleaded with her, getting more and more concerned for her with every second she didn't respond.

Zandra rested her hand on the cab door and turned too look at John sighing,
"My dad...he..." She scrunched her face up trying to stop herself from crying, "Look, I'll tell you more when i get back, you jsut need to cover for me" She pleaded with him still fighing down tears.

John wrapped his arms around her briefly before letting her go and pushing her into the back seat of the cab, closing the door behind her,
"You be good now ya hear? He'll be fine Zan." he assured her before handing the driver two fifties, "Make sure she gets where she wants to go. Fast."
He stood back and waved at her a little.

"The hospital" She said quietly looking at John sadly as the cab took off, yeah...sure...he'll be fine. she throught sarcastically.
