darkness and ligh are me. darkness and light mix to make me up. i am darkness and i am light. i am darkness. i am light. what am i. who can i be. can you help find me.

i am not darkness and light say the thing i may be. i feel darkness and light around me. what can i be help find me.
Shadow would also be my first guess...

Sorry Cassie but I simply have to call you out on that one, punctuation always counts because it alters meaning. Whatever you are you are not very important if you don't warrant a capital letter for the personal pronoun. The forest floor? A full day, midnight to midnight? An eye?

I was under the impression that riddles went in the word games subforum, Cassie. Perhaps you ought to repost this there--and maybe even give people a heads up as to the fact that it's a riddle and not your attempt at a fabulous introduction or a spouting of poetry.
Punctuation exists to make you understood in the world of the written word. You don't have it, you look overly dramatic, lazy or plain illiterate. It's like botching the stress on your syllables or mispronouncing words. Games are no different than any other form of communication--you are attempting to get an idea across and we, the readers, are attempting to understand what the heck you're writing about.
As far as the riddle goes, a full day would be my best guess given that both light and darkness are required to make a full day. However, I've got no clue as to who this could be--if indeed it's a who (and why bother stating it's a who if it's not?)-- or why I should bother finding it. A full day is hardly hard to find and I don't think someone can look for the inevitable given that, well, day and night aren't things we can avoid.

A seed or fruit. It lives and grows on the branches.
Typos are very important to all written form. It gives the reader something to look for so they aren't distracted by the total lack of content in your writing.

Could be said of various tree-trunk-dwelling fungi, moss and vines too.
