Plot:

The story starts in the real world, where for reasons unknown, students are dropping out of school in huge numbers. A large number of them are resorting to commiting crimes, some even losing all willpower in themselves, a symptom dubbed FES, "Fallen Esteem Syndrom".This has spread onto many adults as well, resulting in weak law enforcement. There is a select few who live in a specialy made dorm. For only by sleeping under one roof can they all, via sleep, be transported to the "Ocean of Darkness" another world where they gain special powers to fight the creatures there. However the world is quite random. Going through the tunnel, they can be taken to almost anywhere in the world. The ultimate goal is to kill the god of this world, who is theorized to be the cause of the recent problems.However after a certain amount of time, the characters are awakened to the real world.

So the story will interchange between the real world, where more and more are being inflicted by FES, then at night, to the Ocean of Darkness where the characters must defeat all enemies coming before them. Each world will have their own storyline going on, sometimes intertwining.

Rules:

1.Your character's powers ONLY apply in the Ocean of Darkness World. In the real world, your character is 100% human.

2.Only I decide when it changes from real world to Dark World and vise versa.

3.No god mdding, beta playing(i.e one character thinks something or knows something other characters aren't supposed to know but your character somehow knows) etc.

There's no real guidlines for what kind of power your character can hve. Just follow this format:

Real World Abilities(is your character an athlete, a wimp, etc.)
Dark World Abilities:

Unless I say otherwise, consider your character approved once you post the profile here. Just make sure it's not too similar to another character. Once an appropiate number of players have been accounted for, the story will start(in another thread of course). If you're willing to catch up in the story and join later, then just post your character profile in this thread. If there are anymore questions, feel free to ask.

Age: 17
Back story: nadir Doesnt' remember much of her past as she had been in a comatos state until her 15th birthday. she isn't even sure that her names is Nadir (which it isn't her names Christine Mercy Enyala) Her parents up and left her while she was in hospital leaving her with the medical bill when she woke up. the Hopsital taking pity on her enroled her in a local uni (is that right?) where she was placed in a dorm.
Personality: Dark, and prefers not to be associated with other people.
Real World Abilities: Athletic, and musical
Dark World Abilities: ability to manipulate mold and turn into shadows.

Name: Cristina (Goes by Cris) Neil
Age: 19
Backstory: She has had a boring life over all. Well actually she is a child protege.
Personality: She is reckless, cocky, and competitive. She constantly needs excitement and is usually happy. Secretly she is a HUGE softy.
Real World Abilities: She is runner on the college track team, and participates in art. She is skipping around majors at college, but currently she is interested in Nuclear physics, Psychology, and being a special ops/agent.
Dark World Abilities: Control of time. (Stop, speed up, slow down time, ext.)

Oh a few question, when they get transported to the second world are they in the clothes they are sleeping in or different clothes?
Do they only sleep at night ?
How has the second world been discovered ?
Is the other world ihabitated to friendly creatures as well?
If you get injured in the real world/ second world, does it affect you in the other world ?
Is there a time difference ? If so how long of one ?
With regard to powers, rules would be nice ? Are the characters experts or do they learn as they go on ?
When they travel to the second world do they all transport to the same ares or do they constantly get spilt from each other, or is it completely random ?

Oh sorry for all the questions, I just really want it cleared up.

I said to ask questions if needed right? Don't worry about it. Now, to answer your questions(in order):

1.Same clothes, although any damage or tears done to clothes in the Dark World only applies to Dark World and vise versa.

2.No however under normal circumstances they can't go to Dark World unless they're sleeping under one roof. Otherwise all they can see are blurry images of the Dark World.

3.It will be revealed later how it was first discovered. As for how the characters discovered it, they were brought together through string pulling in the shadows so to speak and arrived their together. This has happened before the introductory post, although when the story begins, they will be going through the tunnel for the first time.

4.Not really. Some creatures are neutral to them(don't like them but don't care enough to kill them) but none will lend a helping hand.

5.Physical ailments do not transfer between worlds since the bodies they have in the Dark World are different then the ones in the real world. However any severe mental stress or ailments(like depression) will weaken their tie in the Dark World, weakening them.

6.Like in dreams, passage of time in the Dark World is untraceable and unpredictable.

7.Depends on the character. Some characters will likely have more of a mastery of their powers then others. I don't want to make a rule putting all characters at the same level because that's boring. It's up to the player to decide how advanced they are.

8.They are transported to the Ocean together, always the Ocean. When they go through the tunnel, they are taken to random places, rarely ever seperated.

Name: Rommul, 'Rommy', Gunner

Age: 17

Backstory: A transfer student from Germany Rommy is well know for his dark past but, more importantly, not letting his dark past get to him. Although almost all of his friends have been affected by FES, his mother has been dead for only a couple of weeks and his father had rescently been contemplating sucide Rommy managed to relax and stay calm at all times. This is what he is like most of the time but if he finds that it gets too much for him he just goes for a walk, sometimes smoking and sometimes just walking.

Personality: Rommy is a happy person, except for when he feels the need to 'walk', and cracks jokes all the time, often about his own personal life. He is one of the people who will never stop trying to make people feel better and it has brought him many friends.

Real World Abilities: Rommy broke the mold of tranditional 'big and muscular guy' to have an IQ of 154. He is most tallented in Chemistry where his teachers are pushing him to try for a PHD. He is also a heavy rock musician, playing lead guitar.

Do our characters know how they got to be with the others ? What I mean to say is, do our characters know how they got to be where they are at the moment ?
As in, can we make up how we got there, or is there a reason behind it ?

Name: Hurley Young

Age: 18

Backstory: Born in England, Hurley spent the first seven years of his life in the solemn greenary of Yorkshire with both of his parents. Yet, when his family decided to move to Australia, everything seemed to change as within a week they were there, Hurleys father had to return to England to finish the deal to selling their house. On the plane trip there, the plane went missing and has been ever since. Then, when Hurley was 14, his mother couldn't handle it anymore and left him with a close friend who took care of him and allowed him to express his passion for writing. When he was 18, he returned to the one place he thought his mother would be. England.

Personality: Hurley is one of those lovable characters, yet when he is depressed, he really is depressed. When he is working, he is very quiet and solemn and does not enjoy being disturbed. He does his best to impress people, but after a while, if you do not concur he will just express whats inside. With so much change in his life, he is used to adapting to different situations.

Real World Abilities (is your character an athlete, a wimp, etc.): He is a writer, and enjoys singing. Another talent would also be that he is somewhat comedic and good at solving puzzles.

Dark World Abilities: Has the power to control energy and can adapt the situation. Energy also includes the energy of his companions, and without harming then, depending on their feeling he can use them as some sort of power drain. The disadvantage and advantage about this is that sometimes it can be almighty, while others time it can result in nothing.

Think of it like the movie "Saw", to a degree. They only know they were assigned to a single dorm, probally suspecting they were brought together for a reason, and only know they have to fight to remedy the situation.

Ok heres mine if you'll have me.

Name: Adam fisher

Age:19

Backstory: When he was able to get a paer round he saved his money so he could buy a computer, ever since he's been hooked. He makes software, has broken practically every copyright law, creates viruses and hacks for the fun of it. His parents are concerned for him but have no discipline and he has been able to get away with it all. On the internet he has made a bit of a name for himself as being a computer genius. A couple of years ago his parents were one opf the first to catch FES he has cared for them since. He didn't tell anyone because he was scared they'd be taken from him. Even though they are more like drones he still loves them. So he could go to Uni he finally decided they would be in better hands if he took them to a hospital. He is still hopeful they will get better and he visits them every week.

Personality: he is quite a dark and moody person, due to lots of caffeine and little sleep. When people try to restrict him he can lose his temper. Although deep down he's a friendly person.

Real World Abilities: He's a computer addict. He spends most of his waking hours on the computer, doing all sorts of projects - not all strictly legal-.

Dark World Abilities: he can control temperature (so form flames and ice), which means he can also make a sort of armour around him, as temperature won't hurt his body. Although this power depends on his mood and if this flips his powers can become uncontrollable. Not good!
