Sue belongs in a mental hospital. She just doesn't know it yet. You may wonder how I know this. It is because I watch people.
The first time she came to my door, she had a big smile on her face.
"I brought you these tomatoes from my garden," she said quickly. "Hope you can use them."
She bounced from foot to foot as I opened the door and invited her in.
"I just love fresh tomatoes, don't you!" As she spoke her wide eyes glanced nervously around the room.
Her hyped-up attitude crept into my bones, giving me an unaccustomed wariness. Was she on drugs?
The next time I saw Sue, she barely blinked as she listlessly answered my called out greeting as I was getting into my car. Again, I sensed something was wrong. Very wrong.
Through months of neighborly interaction, Sue was either really up or really down.
Then one day, it hit me- Sue is Bi-polar. I made it a point to catch her husband, Dan, as he worked in their yard the next Saturday.
"Dan, do you notice Sue has mood swings?" I asked quietly.
The large man stared at me a moment without comprehension, then a light went on in his eyes.
"Why do you ask?" He looked at me closely.
"I think Sue may be Bi-polar and need professional help," I answered, keeping eye contact.
"The thought has crossed my mind," he replied. "But she is such a good person, I hated to go any further with it."
"Good people can have chemical imbalances too," I said. "I just wanted to tell you what I thought out of concern. I am not trying to cause trouble I haven't gossiped with the other neighbors or anything."
"Your concern is appreciated- thanks." He smiled.
My heart felt hopeful.
I didn't see Sue for several weeks after that. I wondered what was happening. Then one day there was a knock at my door. It was Sue.
"May I come in," she asked quietly.
I opened the door and motioned her in.
"I just want to thank you for being brave enough to talk to my husband about Bi-polar disorder," she said. "I have been in the hospital for the past two weeks while they adjusted my medication. My whole outlook on life has changed- it is wonderful!"
I smiled. It is good when life stories have happy endings.
thank you quiet lady
marvin is
Marvin is the new kid in school, which really sucks. His father was transferred from Dallas to Boston, so he was experiencing serious culture shock.
"I wish I could go back to Dallas, where the kids make sense instead of this preppy school," he thought. "These guys are wusses."
Although he was miserable, the morning passed swiftly. Picking up the lunch tray in the cafeteria, he frowned and looked around for an out of the way seat.
Spotting an empty table in the corner, he made his way through the crowded lunchroom, avoiding eye contact with the other students. Eyes downward, he started rapidly shoveling in the cardboard-tasting pizza.
"Is it ok if I sit here?"
Marvin looked up to see a geeky looking guy wearing glasses holding a tray.
"Yeah, sure, why not," he murmured, glancing quickly back down to the table.
"Hi, my name is Josh, I just moved here from Austin," the new kid said quietly. "I don't really know anyone yet."
Marvin felt a flutter of hope in his heart as he gazed at his new friend. They were both from Texas. Maybe things might work out after all.
Looking up from his now cold pizza, he grinned as he introduced himself.
"What to shoot a few hoops after school?" he asked.

I suppose this is your attempt to be funny? Work on your damn grammar and stop raping my eyes.
April is fun and exciting as a lover, at least that's what I like to believe.
I have, in fact, never spoken to April even though she sits in front of me in math class. I mean she asked me for a pencil once, but I blushed and handed it to her silently. She never gave it back.
one day sue went to the zoo and had some fun with the lions and kangaroos. but that day ended in tradgey
