In the Grand hall of the fortress in Warrior capital

Gelrog looked around the grand hall in anticipation. He had never felt such a mix of emotion before. He was anxious, rearing to go, already home sick but he was also tired and angry at the whole war. He couldn't wait to see the combination of people that could be his company to loss, victory, defeat or death. The success of this mission could decide the fate of both Druids and Warriors.
Gelrog stood behind his (head) chair and waited expectantly for his guest. Hi was used to being unconfortable, because he often had tostand in one position throughout special occassions and how boring he thought they were! This would be different though. He let his gaze run to the doorway as a trumpeteer. Nothing could be done with out grandeur he thought; sighing. Then they entered for better or for worse.

I'm sorry it can't give away more information but that's the start. Please make your intros about the fighting competition you had to get through (no killing of civilians please but they can be hurt) and conclude it with entering the grand hall with the rest of the Heroes. If your a druid you will need to do that but may also like to write about how you became a spy. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

Faye fidgeted. He looked around again and then fidgeted some more. He wasn't as scared as he had been at the tournament, but it did make him nervous to see all sorts of different and unknown people around him, some were tall and scary, other had a more lean built. Faye himself barely fit the definition of scrawny, the only word to describe him was lank.

In fact, his appearance alone had been a great help during the tournament, many competitors failing to size him up correctly and falling to his quickness and wit. Not that he killed any or injured them seriously, just enough to prove his worth like his father had expected him.

Faye sighed remembering his life back on the fields, all fun and joy until his father had thrown a sword at him and attacked. The training lasted for months, but at last he managed to bet his father, 1 out of 20 times. Not exactly the result his father expected but deemed well enough to try and prove himself in the King's tournament to choose warriors for the upcoming war. Faye strongly disaproved of war, but he so desired to see something else than the green mountains and blue lakes, it was an easy choice but a tough goodbye.

A trumpet called his attention, now they would meet the King. Faye pulled on the sleeves of his black cassock, the first thing he had bought when coming to the city. Being a farmboy he wasn't really interested in fashion, but Faye had instantly deemed it "glamorous" and bought it, even after being told it was a religious garment, it hid his peasent clothes well and was comfortable, not to mention it made him look even more harmless, even with his father's sword attached to his back.

Faye took a deep breath, for better or for worse, he would remain loyal to the King.

((is that okay or should I change it?))

Tala immediatly headed for the shadows, she felt out of place, a stray hair fell infront of her eyes, quickly she brushed it away, there was a deep gash under her left eye from the tornament, as always she had been underestimated. but she had prooved her worth,

The trumpets sounded, moving foward she walked through the doors, it was time to address her king. her hand rested on the hilt of her brothers blade for comfort, as she approached the throne she dropped to one knee bowing infront of her king.

    ((no that's great!))

The first entrant came in and bowed to him. He winced. He knew it was custom but he still couldn't get usedf to it. If I survive this I will abolish bowing he decided.

Instead he waved his hands at her and said, "There is no need, please don't bow. Please sit down." Gesturing at the long table in front of him.

Smiling Tooru thought proud of himself, he had done well enough for an assist in a warrior tournement. However his last fight had nearly been his downfall, his parther had struck his side with a rather strong blow, the crude weapon shaped like an axe had cut right the way down, if he hadn't had used somemagic, he might not have won. The warriors watching hadn't noticed a thing.

He pulled at his collar, trying to fix the uncomfortable uniform. He continued on with the rest towards the main hall, where the king sat. His uncomfort was felt through out the hall let alone been seen on his faced as a rough looking girl bowed. Tooru moved aside sitting at the large tablebefore them, allowing the others a glimse their king.

His argument with the druid counsil was nothing now, his words never made it through their overly large heads. they seemly forced him into the contest, hoping to optain some pathetic info on the warriors plans.

Sighing Tooru stopped smiling trying not to draw attention, he ran his hands over his side as the others seated, it was obvious that the king was going to make a speech, most likely on the congratulating the winners.

This race was so predictable, from their gestures to their attacks. He sighed once more before turning his attention to the king.

Tala stood up, and took a seat as close to the shadows as she could get,
    what an unothadox king

Closing her eyes she lent back, this was interesting. She sat and watched as the others walked in. she replayed the her tornament fights back in her head, she had killed, injured seriously and gotten through, she grinned and whispered,
"and all cause they thought i was weak" her black leather armor had survived the onslaught, mostly because the people she had fought couldn't keep up with her. looking around she noticed another enter, she smiled in greeting to him and then went back to her thoughts.

He notice the woman who had just bowed to him seemed to have been taken by surprise at his manner. He liked that it knocked people on edge so they would say what they mean rather than a formal pre-thought and practised speech when they were talking with him.

Upon entering, Faye stumbled on whether he should bow or just sit down, as the King had ordered the woman before him not to bow.

Chatching himself, he sent a sheepish grin to the King before scurrying off to the closest available seat. Faye was ignorant in proper etiquette in the court, and he hoped the King would not find him rude, or anything that would dishonor his father.

((to keep the RPG moving I'm going to well move it on a bit, those who
haven't yet written their intro or want to join please still post your intros first but at the moment we will count you as sitting down. thanks))

Gelrog took a long look at all the people sat on the table in front of him. They were the best warriors in his kingdom. Some didn't look like much but he realised this gave them a dangerous edge. He was proud to be leading such warriors. As he was glancing across all their faces he realized they must all be confused, it was time now to tell them.

He solemnly spoke,” You have all bested your fellow warriors in combat, you here are the best warriors in our kingdom. I welcome you to the fortress but i'm afraid your stay here will not be long. You'll all be wandering now what you've won or what's happening. Well, we have received news from our intelligence from within the druid community that they have used their evil powers to create a new weapon. We are not sure what form it has taken but what we do know is that it has the power to win the war in favour of the Druids. W e cannot let this happen. So in retaliation I’ve constructed a team of the best warriors to deal with this threat, you.

The plan is to battle our way to the centre of the waste on the boundary to retrieve the cup. AS You can remember (but I’ll tell you anyway =}) the cup drained the life out of the waste land to create the hideous hybrids and magical, scum creatures they use to protect their land and aid them.

But what you don’t know is that the head of warriors have also kept secret for the druids is that they have kept secret three sacred items of unknown origin. They have created special groups (options open here for the druids that have been created) to look after them. We think that one of these items have been used to create this weapon although it’s not all doom and gloom we have in our position one of the items. It was gifted to us before the war. The item is my axe and its power is that it is a mediocre spell repeller. We can use this to our advantage. Right any questions or objections before I get onto the plan…” he grinned.

((see I did plan it out! I just didn’t want to ruin it))

    ((lol nice speech))

Thierry held in his laughter, the king just told a druid that he was one of the best in the kingdom, however the quest was a serious a matter, the waste land was dangerous even for a druid, no one went there, and these items, it waas amazing that these primitive group of people new that this much, however the what the druids had created was a mystery and at that moment Theirry decieded to play along with the rest, hopeing to see if this rumour was true. But he would have to be carefull, Theirry clutched the pendant around his neck, this was one of the items, he had been granted it as a good luck, plus the item had uses that only an assist could really use.

"So, what does this druid weapon do?" Faye felt stupid right after saying that. He looked around hoping to see someone backing him up, a few warriors had questions in their eyes, but none of them looked insecure or doubtful.

Faye gulped, waiting for the kings answer to his question.

Thierry was surprized at the question, even though the warriors were a mostly brute force, from his experience with them so far they seemed to question everything before engaging into battle.

This young mans question was sensisble, but it wasn't like the king was going to have an answer, the warriors might have gotten that much information, but surely they wouldn't have retrieved anything more.

The king hesitated at the question, the other warriors seemed to be frowning the young man for his because he failed to show respect.

"I too would like to know, what this weapo does, but a better question is why do we seek the cup now, if we could have gotten it before surely we would hace tried."

Thierry shot a glance at the young man, before turning his gaze back to the king, some people looked uneasy and others were already drinking the wine laid out before them.

((Shame on you Kyrie, don't worry this R.P.G can't be expexted to look good at the start, it will spice up, crazed scribe has a lot of plans and ideas for this, and I want to let them play out.))

Tala sat but unchanged the questions were good, but all she cared about was the terrain they would have to face looking up at the king she muttered

((aura thankyou. Kyrie don't worry it's just slow starting but it is moving at quite a steady speed now))

Gelrog frowned uncomfortably and faltered at the young man.

"We don't know what it can quite do yet we do know it carries enormous power but it could have other nasties as it was made by the scum and their practices. For those who will join me, as i will explain more of soon, we will go to kill it but we will need to learn more information on the way while we are in their land. I deemed it to dangerous and pointless to try and take the cup. I didn't want more loss of warrior life when they were needed, for a cup which might not be doing anything anymore. Now on the other hand we are becoming strong again although so are the druids. We are on our way through the boundary anyway so we need to try and destroy it as a precaution."

As the woman called TAla spoke he smile and answered, "yes".
