Thread: Druids V Warriors RPG?

Hi

I know there are quite a few RPGs on at the moment but i've had an idea for my own.

THe basic plot is:

the warriors have found that the druids have made a weopon. THe druids have spies among the warriors. SO to try and see if the information is true and if it is destroy it the king (my character) has called the best warriors of the surrounding villages to the capital. Some druids will be able to go aswell disguised as warriors.

(3 druids until we have a few warriors)

The Druids and Warriors used to be great allies until 40 years ago when a druid councillor killed a warrior prince because he disrespected magic, he called it unnatural. At the meeting that was supposed to be friendly the argument had gotten heated, both the prince and druid had drunk a bit, until the prince had said the fateful words. The councillor, who had spend all his liffe devoted to magic, used water to smash a fork thorugh his left eyeball; the fork then peirced his brain.
Non had been aware of the argument, all that had been seen was the manslaughter so a great fight broke out were the councillor and a few other druid s and warriors were killed. The warrior KIng and his councillors fled from the Druids land telling the people of the cold blooded murder and a fight caused by the Druids. A war was then declared between the two nations.
The war was fought along the border of the countries, now a desolate wasteland. The war went on for 30 long years. Druids and warriors are bitter towards each other. Warriors now all carry a great resent ment to magic and all things magical. The war has killed off the 3/4 s of both populations. Men and women have the same status in both countries so both were killed. There is now a cease fire sustained with many mild skirmishes occurring.
Both nations keep spies in countries, so the know each others secrets (hopefully). THe druids think they are on the verge of being able to end the war and take over the warriors land. The future which the druids hold for the warriors is slavery. They are trying to develop a creture of pur magic that will give them the winning edge. THe warriors are just trying to develop new styles for fighting and new magic resistant skills. A spy has reported back on this new develoment so the king has called a council to try and end the war for good.

Druids will be at the beginning with the warriors because all druids will be spies that have managed to join the quest they can still have any history you want but that will be their situation at the moment.


Rules:

• No Godding: No making yourself Invincible, If you do, I’ll ask you to edit your character.
• No Auto Killing/Hitting: Basically No hitting people or killing them without them doing so or saying you can.
• No Moving: No moving along the story (Unless you’re an RP Mover) or bringing an attack to the group without my permission.
• You can be creative and bring in new twists so please be creative!
• Don't post again until a few people have reacted.
• Complaining: Adda a note if you feel something is wrong or you are upset by something but don't have a massive outburst.
• Keeping a Time line: Try and keep with the time, don’t move on the time for like a day unless we do a Time change, which I’ll post and tell evryone about.
• Please wait until someone else has posted until you post again.
• Don't take things personally, it's a story!!!

This could be cool but you'd really have to bulk it up and set out a really well thought out land, story, goal etc...

But I'd be for it if you can get it done.

yeah i've got it in my head mostly just a bit of fine tuning. which side would you be interested in?

The warriors and druids are basically worst enemys and they share half the country each. They are very suspicious of each other and are bitter enemy's. The druids are very spiritual and mysterious. They do many magical experiments and are magical beings. They aren't very physical generally. THey use different brands of magic, what type is studied is upto the druid. Necromancy is strictly forbidden (sorry bit it's too powerful o and no teleportation).

On the other hand the warriors are very muscular and generally wear there hearts on their sleeves and are quick to draw the blade. They also have a strong sense of community and brother hood.

I would like to do this, but like Short Tooth said, there needs to be a lot more info before officially creating this RP.

The main goal is to destroy or wield this monster to leave the druids helpless. In the middle of the country is a wasteland. The aim is to mointor the situation first and get a feel for the land. There are lots of hybrid magical creatures wandering the land. THat the druids have created that will attack all. There are also mentally damaged and battle worn warriors and druids wondering the land.

Ok sounds cool, but you must keep track of this rpg, read others rules and see what works and what doesn't. and tell us exactly what profile template to use. If i was to be a druid, what would my aim be as I'd obviously not want to destroy the weapon.

But its got promise so sure why not.
