Thread: Proposal for a Horror RPG

Right, I want to see how much interest this attracts. I think I get what the RPG is all about now, and as an accomlished writer if I do say so myself I propose a horror RPG.

I am beginning to form the idea in my head, thinking I will set it up as some form of Day of The Dead type thing but whether or not it will be zombies yet I can't say.

I just want to see how much interest there is, andalso if there is enough interest I will get about setting it all up.

well, i'm sort of new to this writing forum, i have only been on since last oct so i guess count me in.

I've never written horror before, but there's a first time for everything! Count me in.

Glad for the interest. Let's say I get Ten to fifteen people interested and I'll stick up a profile maker thread and give all necessary details about the plot. Get your fellow RPG'ers over here.

The Story is set in England, although you can be from anywhere in the world to take part. London is the setting. A futuristic London that is more like 20 years past than 20 years in the future. The world is run down, technology is sparse, the country is war torn. Collapsed buildings, dark smoky skies, people living in poverty. London. On New Years Eve, 2017, then Prime Minister of the country speaks to the nation in a televised address. He speaks of optimism and hope for a new period of life. Then a pale, sallow-cheeked, wrinkled creature with flesh like putty uses strength betrayed by his appearance to overpower the Prime Minster, smash the top of his skull off and feast on the brains within. The zombie gurgling and struggling to speak manages to get across the message that a new era really will occur. A plague of the undead will rise up tonight, and by the morning the whole nation will be overcome by them. We have made earth so bad, that the dead may as well walk amongst us, punishing us for the state of our lives, our nation and our world. We will all be dead soon.
A group of people hold themselves up in the church hall, (this group will be all who choose to play), I will designate some categories for different types of characters later- This group, for arguments sake consisting of ten people, are all that remain as far as they are aware. All they know is that the future of the LIVING human race depends on them, but how could they, a tiny minority, possibly overcome the mass of the undead. One man, who will be played by me as a sort of gatekeeper roll, will offer them clues. He knows more than he can reveal, but he prompts them on their quest to salvaging mankind and vanquishing these demonic beasts.I as narrator will control both what the zombies do and what this leader does. You will all go on an adventure, based on my clues, across the country, to wherever you think you need to be to save the world. But be warned, I will kill those of you who are too rash. If you are excitable and rush out, you will die. You need to display many good character traits that represent survival etc... You must get to finish and save your souls, before the zombie's get to you. I ama ware of how you can save mankind but I will not tell you as that is part of the fun of the game.
Anyway, this is a brief description. Sign up and I will bulk out a definite story with rules, set-up a profile page, and we'll be off. I'll need at least 8 of you to be interested before I begin.

Oh my god, read the story, it's really an R.P.G then huh, you can die like the sound of that, ten people is that what you said, how many do you have now?
