Yet she repeatedly tried to grasp her shattered hopes, but each time pulled back a bloody hand.

The pain of the last few months passed before her eyes. She remembered

She remembered how she had killed her husband. She didn't mean to, it just happened. One minute she was fine, watching the kids and being a proud mother, and the next... A burning fire of hatred writhed inside her and she just grabbed the knife from the kitchen counter and stabbed her husband in the gut.

Her nine year old son watched her do it.

she hadnt noticed his guts fall onto the floor. unfortuatly as she went to walk across the kitched to retrieve a dishcloth with which to clean the blood off her hands she slipped on the bloody, gooey mess.

her head came crashing down on the floor and she lost consciousness. when she awoke she was in a prison cell. she was about to be charged with murder.

she cried herself to sleep that night, hoping that some how she could turn back the time. she prayed to God, even though she was not religious, and asked his forgivness.

then, two days later, the cell door opened for the first time.

The image in the door way filled her very heart and soul with fear. It was no prison guard, no lawyer. It was a man, with a handsome face, smiling at her with an ear to ear grin. She quacked with fear and stumbled backward, falling on the bed. His pearly teeth glinted as he walked up to her, a lone white rose in hand.

    It was

it was her father. she hadn't seen him in over seven years, but he was there, standing in the doorway looking down at her. tears filled her eyes as he walked into the room, the broad smile never leaving his face.

He dropped the rose onto the bed at her side and continued to grin. "Its about time you killed him." he said in his surprisingly cold and sadistic hiss of a voice. "You left the children alive right?"

replying to her father question she nodded. her children were her life, Emily and Daniel were twins, both thirteen, and the youngest, Samantha, was nine. he had seen her holding the knife, blood dripping from its blade, his dad lying, cold on the floor. she shuddered.

"I'm sorry, pops. I didn't mean to!" She cried.

"Don't worry," Her father said soothingly. "It's okay honey. I was hoping you would do it soon anyways, before I would be forced to."

"Oh pops! Why do you always have to threaten my husbands? I think you were the one who killed my last fifty seven husbands, weren't you?" Her eyes blazed with fury.

"Yes. I'm sorry." Her father replied, a smirk on his face.

"Pops! Why did you have to be an assassin? Why can't I just get a normal pops?"

Her father shrugged. "That's beside the point. I am breaking you out honey. Your first kill, I am so proud of you!"

She started crying. "I didn't mean to! I told you that. I am not like you..."

"Not yet, but you will learn. So will your kids."

She gulped. "What happened to the guards and the police? They won't let me out."

"I killed them. Not to worry, honey."

"What?" She cried. "This is a top security prison compound. There are hundreds of cops all over here."

"Yes, I killed them all." He said without a care or a worry crease on his face.

"Oh pops! How can you be so cruel."

He shrugged again and grabbed her by the arm. "Come on, honey. I don't like the smell of this place."

She nodded and allowed herself to be led away. "Pops, are we going to the mansion?"

"No, I bought a new one. Well not really bought," He gave an embarrased laugh. "I kinda stole batman's mansion."

"Oh pops, you're such a villain!"
