Thread: Song Lyric Challenge

Ghosts crowd the young child's fragile eggshell mind
In an instant I remember everything,

I've given up hiding and I've started to fight

I find myself unable to write the things myself, but I've actually put a few of these "poems" to simple guitar music. Quite interesting I must say! Some of them make great songs.

Just when I thought I'd downloaded all the .mp3s I want (except a few BOC songs), Claire, you mention songs by Gary Moore, Ozzy Osbourne, Neil Young, and The Stones that I haven't even heard! Sigh...time to load up Kazaa.

Okay, I really wanted to do this challenge; however it seemed to give me a hard time. I don't know why I had such a difficult time with this one but this is what I have so far. Personally, it sucks and It's not finished. I just don't know where to go with it anymore.

I just graduated from college and I wanted this piece (challenge) to be based on graduating and starting a new life. This is what I was able to come up with but I don't know how to finish it or how to make it not suck as much. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Heh I compiled this without the knowledge of the "one line from each song" thing... I'm going to post it anyway, there are a few repeats.... simply because it's pretty awesome. It's in song format, obviously I won't write music to it but it's got verses and a chorus and bridge and stuff.

Late I will write one according to the rules, this is just for fun.

PS: Anyone who can identify every song, or at least every artist, without searching for them (like on a lyrics search engine) will be my new GOD!!! I WILL BOW DOWN TO YOU AND GROVEL AT YOUR FEET FOR ETERNITY heh..... I'll tell you there are exactly 20 songs and 16 artists used =^..^=
