    Contrast

Here's my challenge, write a short poem, in any style and make it's lines have a sharp contrast, if not absolute opposites.
    - And in the darkness, when you find this, I'll be out of reach.

    The dark in the day
    The sun in the night
High tide in the desert (I can't remember how to spell this)
    Ground bound in your flight
    - And in the darkness, when you find this, I'll be out of reach.

Well, it's a good chalange, because I've been sitting here for about 10 minutes trying to come up with something but with no luck.

    pain engulfed her body
    euphoria fled her mind

    demons raided
    warriors slept

the world in embers, only seconds did it take
    forever past, nature flourished

How is that?! I had a hard time with the last line.
Very challenging (did I spell that wrong?)

Hmm, this is a good one, I like it! You spelt challenging correctly and I'm glad that it is. Now, anyone else want to try?

This poem is called "I Don't Remember"

It was a dogday morning that afternoon
Five minutes too late or an hour too soon
    I don't remember and can't forget
The wonderful thing I now regret

I killed a man and saved his life
His pregnant daughter and teenage wife
Saw the noise and heard the scene
He laughed a quiet little scream

What happened here? I dreamed aloud
I grimaced because I was so proud
He lives tonight and dies today
My silence was all I had to say

The police awarded my heinous crime
I won the day! I'll do my time!
    I don't remember and can't forget
The wonderful thing I now regret.

That's a bit deriviative, but I just made it up on the spot.

You did great...Don't know where I can do this or not but I will give it a good honest try..

    The aliens are good
    and their animals should
do things that are weird and bad
but suddenly the animals do good which is sad
for the aliens go magically mad

Now the Humans saw this weird race
cause their ship seemed to be last pace
but the aliens were very slow
and their animals won the race with one swift blow
And the HUMANS just stomped their toe

    Flying with swimmers
    through the light of night.

    Living with death,
    and saddness of delight.

Finding time that can't be found,
hear screams of silence...so very loud.

Open the window and close the door
peep inside and look out for more

Shut the window and peep inside
Open the shutters and close them wide

    In through the outdoor.

    Gray skies, pumpkin pies.

    Ride now with one Thor.

    Deadly greenish, red eyes.

    Hot yet cold,
    young yet still old.
    Childish and wise,
ground is one with highest skies.
    - And in the darkness, when you find this, I'll be out of reach.
