Hi all! I'm pretty new here, and I just found the RPG section!! Yay!
I'm very much into roleplaying, although by and far I usually do it in person, with dice. The Pathfinder rules, published by Paizo, are my friends. At any rate, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a RPG set in Golarion, the setting published by Paizo for Pathfinder. I want to give pure RPing a try, so we wouldn't use Pathfinder rules, just simple RPing standards. No God-Mode, etc. As GM, I would resolve combat actions and such, but the majority of the game would be determined by RPing. I don't get to be a player often enough either, so, entirely separate from myself as GM, I'd probably have a player.
Although it will be fairly freeform, keep in mind that the setting was intended for use with Pathfinder. I will be playing a Gunslinger-esque character from Osirion, who has a magical heritage. For anyone who is interested in playing, but doesn't have access to the Inner Sea (the only developed region in Golarion) Campaign Setting, either post here or PM me and we'll work out the details via PM.
The game would start with us as smugglers. We would start In Media Res, with us sneaking in drugs to Qadira.
So if, after reading all of that, you're interested in playing, please post this information:
Name: Character's name
Gender: Character's gender
Race: Character's race, from the core races in Pathfinder. (Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Halfling, Human)
Class: Pick a class from Pathfinder, although you don't have to follow it very exactly at all - it's just to get a feel for your character. (Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Wizard, Alchemist, Cavalier, Inquisitor, Oracle, Summoner, Witch, Ninja, Samurai, Gunslinger, Magus)
Appearance: A few sentences will suffice.
Background: As much as you are willing to give the group, although I'd like a couple of paragraphs either here or via PM if you want to keep your character's history hidden.
Personality: Your character's general disposition. Don't purposefully detract from the group.
Weapons/Gear: A list of the more important things your character has on them.
