The Story
The land of Eophellia was once strong and unified; however, after two hundred years of war known as the "War of Five", the land has been divided into five nations: Ceilien to the South-West, Argebar to the North-West, Hort'neer to the North, Farisce to the East, and Euphel on the South-most peninsula. The middle land between the five warring nations has been named Dargadel, or "Dead-land", having been ravaged and burned, so that nothing grows.
During a great battle, all five of the kings of Eophellia were slain. The new kings, wanting peace, have called for the signing of a treaty to take place in the capitol of Euphel, Ca'bilè.
People are gathering from across the land, to witness this great event, that promises the end of war.
Notable locations include:
Ceilien - Treclier, Ceilien's capitol. A mass of stone houses, surrounded by a short circular stone wall. The palace sits at its far West corner, and is a large dome-shaped building.
Dralge, a large city, that sits on a platform in the Dralge Sea. The city is in itself a harbor, and is the main trading spot for merchants from other lands.
Argebar - Gavelli, Argebar's capitol. A sprawl of thatched houses, built atop three large hills. The palace sits on the middle and highest hill, and is a large hall made of wood.
Terillo, A small town that lies on the edge of the Dargadel. Though not large or powerful, it is renowned for its tavern, known as the Twelve Oaks.
Hort'neer - Posiv, Hort'neer's capitol. A series of huts. The palace is the largest hut.
Farisce - Andant, Farisce's capitol. It is an enormous fortress, built into the Elros mountain.
Largi, an underground stone city, the entrance to which is marked by a great pine tree that stands two hundred feet tall.
Euphel - Ca'bilè, Euphel's capitol, and largest of its few cities. It is Built on the tip of the South-most peninsula of Eophellia, and overlooks the great Neremos ocean. The houses are small in diameter, but each stands at least three stories high. The palace is a tall spiraling tower, with a high pinnacle that reaches to the sky. Ca'bilè is most noted for its bards, which are respected, and welcomed throughout the land.
I left room for development.

The Game
This is a First-person narrative story. Your character will be heading to Euphel from one of the five nations, to watch the great signing.
You may choose your character's race, but with some restrictions. Eophellia is mainly a human land, though there are some more obscure races that dwell there. I.E. You create your own race, or join a previously established one. But please, only take this option, if you're willing to/are capable of sculpting an entire race, complete with culture, mythology, and history. You will not have to have it all up front, but if you are going to make a race, I'll have to approve it first. Dwarves and Elves are available as races to choose from, BUT they are not native to Eophellia. There are two major harbors in Eophellia, the first being in Ca'bilè. The second, and larger is in Dralge. If you are to use either a Dwarf or an Elf as your race, you must start at one of these locations.
On a side note, magic (wizards, warlocks), COULD be used if you want to, but sparingly. Magicians will be the gypsies of this world. Just keep it conservative.

Rules
All I ask, is that you read each others posts prior to writing. Don't spam. And PLEASE please please please edit your posts before posting. The odd mistype is acceptable (happens to me frequently), but please no blatant poor grammar and/or spelling.
Please join if you're willing to commit. If you leave, say if you will be returning, so we can figure out what to do with your character.
Also, my word is law. Thank you.

Here is my character.
Name: Laslo Windstride
Race: Fyn - The Fyn are a nomadic race, that have stayed neutral for the better part of the War of Five. They are easily identified by their tails, which resemble that of a fox. The belief is, that they obtained these from their goddess Dolcen. They have a gift with animals, and many have unconventional pets. Their race makes up the majority of Eophellia's bards, as they prefer to watch and sing of the events in the land, while not getting caught up in them.
Age: 23
Appearance: Has a pointed stubbly face, with long spiky blonde hair, and dark green eyes. He is roughly five and a half feet tall, with a large red tail with a white patch on the tip.
Alignment: Good-Neutral
Aura: Blue
Job/Occupation: Bard
Clothing/Equipment: A well worn white shirt, with a tattered brown jacket worn over it. A patched yellow clock, that wraps around shoulders, held in place by a silver brooch at the right shoulder. Brown leather pants. A rope belt. No footwear, as his sandals fell apart some time ago, and he has yet to replace them.
Two dangling gold earrings both worn on left ear. A haversack containing spare clothing and other various items. A drawstring coin pouch worn on right hip off of belt. A beautiful lute, with an especially long neck, and a shoulder strap for carrying.
Background: Born in the Dargadel, Laslo has been wandering aimlessly since. Most of his life has been spent in poverty, and upon the death of his mother, he took up the lute and became a bard. Though not acknowledged as one by others due to his inexperience, he still writes and sings songs for small towns too poor to hire an official bard. "Windstride" is a self-appointed name, as Laslo never had a father.
Companion: None
Location: Currently at Terillo.
Miscellaneous info: Has a very passive and pessimistic view of the world. Likes round objects, foreign currency, foxes, and short women. Dislikes soldiers, weapons, poverty, and suffering.
Favorite food is bread with cheese. Favorite drink is mead.
Least favorite food is fish.

If no one seems interested, I'll start the story anyway.
Also, kudos to anyone who can catch all the references I'm using.
