    What Happened?

A couple years back we used to have 4 or 5 RPGs on the go with people posting practically daily? Are all the old users gone? Foxxy, Renos, Blossom... Where are you guys?

I blame myself because I am a vain person. Just joshing.

It seems it is because many were started and their creators just up and left and without direction they died. I'm going to assume that. Two ended because of me leaving: one which was my own, another was relying on my replying, which I didn't. I'm guessing the others ended similarly.
Typos are very important to all written form. It gives the reader something to look for so they aren't distracted by the total lack of content in your writing.

    Yeah, pretty much...

Foxee has disappeared, no idea where she went - it was some time after I came back from a year-long break... Renos is really busy these days, but we're trying to get one started, it's actually the top thread in this section, or near the top depending on who posts here
Blossom I haven't seen around, a few others from the Elemental are absent - Loads from the RPG purely called 'The New RPG' at the time are MIA...

It's a shame. The RPGs actually helped me with my writing, and I'm sure that it must do the same for others too.

I went away for about a year, not too clear on the timing to be honest, and when I came back I was much the same way. I found a site that looked totally different to the one I'd initially loved so much and most of the people I knew had just disappeared. I kept in touch with Renos but it was fleeting and now the other pack leaders are gone? Jesus, the PRers get their own section and the best of us are either MIA or just really bloody busy.

Ah well, here's hoping we see a reboot!

I still check in every now and then ... but to answer your question, my "New RPG" ended cos one by one people dropped out 'til there were only four of us left and then they STOPPED POSTING.

Not that I'm bitter, or anything ...

I haven't been on WritingForums in a while, and when I have I've drifted over The Lounge. If I have to be honest with you, I'm surprised this section is still running, even when we did have about 5 RPGs on-the-go we were commonly belittled, the section was being question (when it was on Writing Challenges), and the RPGs were thinning and being discarded rapidly.

It's nice some people still do try, and it's nice to see Renos still posting, and Nefieslab (even if it is only every now and then). I may get involved again if something catches my eye and takes my fancy.

I'm almost ashamed to admit that I have mostly packed up and moved on to the social groups for RPing. Expressing interest and a final scene with Nick are basically my entire involvement in this section now.

Social groups? Would you mind explaining? I have no idea what you mean by this.

I'm touched we get to have that final scene (and in such a good RPG, too!) Let's make it a good one.

Social groups are found under the 'groups' section of the 'community' section at the top of the site. Basically when you join a social group you have a little mini-forum section that only members of that social group can post in/see. Mainly used by like minded people to have their little pow wows.

It does seems fitting that we should give our old breed a good send off. Considering the characters, it will be a fittingly sober scene.
