"You, sir." Raevyn turned a stern look on Ade as he laughed to himself, "Still owe me some instruction on how to use my Dirk. I will learn how to defend myself."
She turned back to Eunice, "They say the foothills are pretty close, can you see them up ahead?" She indicated the hills ahead of them, green-blue with haze. All the could see was treetops from where they were. "But the real hills we won't get to for two more days, and then it will take us four days to get right through them to Touri. Remember, Ben was telling us yesterday."
Inwardly Raevyn shuddered, she was very afraid of what was to come but tried very hard not to show it.
