'I don't really know' Noa said and her face got sad just thinking about all those people 'But the earth was populated with bilions of people when the virus hit. It wouldn't be that strange for some of them to have survived. How could you ever know for certain that all of them had died'. Noa felt more relaxed as she always did when she was around thorne.

"I just hope they are able to triangulate the signal and find the area it was broadcast from. And if it was from earth we still have the pods- don't we? A team could be sent down to search. i don't know it's too many ifs and buts. And we have no idea what earth is like down there."

Noa shiffered 'The though of what earth would be like now makes my skin crawl. But yeah we could send a team down. We would have to. If they are still alive we need to help them'.

"That's what i would say but tell Dad that." Thorn grimaced, his father didn't take advice well.

Noa smiled at Thorn and gently touched his arm 'Don't get angry at your dad, love. He's just too stuborn to listen to his son. Maybe its a family trait?' Noa winked.

Thorn shrugged noncommittally and grinned. "Thanks for the chat Noa, knowing that someone agrees with me has really cheered me up. But it's getting late and I'm sure my father and Mike will be getting in soon so i'd better leave before we get into trouble."

He tapped her shoulder and said: "Watch-out for yourself."

'Yeah I always do' Noa said and without really know why she hugged Thorn and did not let go for a few seconds. Then relucantly she let go. She walked out of the store with him. Said goodbye once more and then walked to her own quarters. She sighed in releave when she noticed Mike had not returned yet. Noa got herzelf ready and then quickly jumped into bed determined to be sleeping before Mike got home. She succeded as she was vast asleep when Mike got home. He crawled against her and held her in his arms. Soon he fell asleep as well.
