Button holes

I am writing this story in which i have and Edwardian wedding(1911) do you think that they had button holes in those days (you know the flowers pined on peoples lapels espeacally the groom etc) back then.

I think you mean bouttoneire. A flower or spray of flowers worn in the lapel buttonhole.
I'm not sure, but I believe I've seen some movies about that period where they did have them.
