Author's opinions on story structure

I have to give a presentation to my creative writing class on what published authors have to say about story structure. Theoretically it's easy, because all I have to do is regurgitate the opinions of other people, but I'm finding it very hard to track this information down. There's plenty of authorial advice about writing in general, but not so much specifically aimed at plot/structure/form.

I've already used Stephen King's seed metaphor that he loves so dearly. If anyone wants to help me out with some other author's opinions, it's be much appreciated.

There might be a bit about it on the FAQ of James Clemens's website.

Serendipity is on a distinguished road
There are also authors out there that have written books on how to write. One that I enjoyed reading was "How I Write" by Janet Evanovich.

Good luck on your presentation
