Climbable Trees
This should be easy.
What really big deciduous trees in either a temperate or cooler-subtropical forest are easlily climbable?
(I'm googling, but all I'm turning up are tutorials on how to design climbable trees in user-made BF1942 maps.)

Jacaranda is a great climbing tree. As is the Tipuanu Tipu (Sp?).

Whichever, remember they all need to be of some age.
My choices (in addition to tipu and jacaranda) are white cedar
and mulberry
If it's kids climbing the tree why not make it a cherry tree?
Sorry, my mistake, possibly not sub-tropical.

Actually a cherry tree would fit perfectly with what I want to do, but considering the context it would be waaaaay to symbolism-heavy

Who'd have thought? Tree Climbers International - Home - they even offer tree-climbing classes. It may or may not list good trees. I googled 'how to climb trees' and got a bunch of hits - hope that helps.

Who'da thunk?
We should send JosephB in to check it out, he's right in their neck of the woods! (pun intended)
