Defining a study.

Hi there

In the story in writing, there is a study of elements. It followes the study of the five elements: wind, fire, water, earth and air.

I'm trying to think of an appropriate name for the study and the type of person that studies it. So far I have come up with Elementalists and the study of Elementics.

In science, there is bioligy, physics, chemistry etc etc. Is there an ending appropriate to element in any of those. E.g. phys(ics), chem(istry), bio(logy). Is there a reason for their endings?

Thanks

Elementary (my dear Watson)

Elementalism. Elementology.

Basically, since you're making up the science, make up the word.

Also, you are aware that wind and air are pretty much the same thing, right?
