Both times I've fallen in love it's been because they helped me out emotionally. Both people got me out of rough times and helped dissapate my depression. Although...now I have pills. I'm not a very good example though.

I really love my best friend Cory. Not romantically, but he always can make me smile. When I call he never is blah about it, he is always enthusiastic. I can trust him with anything and I know if I ask him nt to share, he wont. Also, I can trust him to take care of me, not to get frustrated with me.

The biggest generalization I can make about being "in love" is that when you're in love, you find yourself often thinking to the person you're in love with and want to be near that person as often as possible.

Love and 'in love' are completely different things. Love is something that lasts--even if it sometimes morphs into something more like hate, it was always founded on something lasting and passionate. You don't have to love or hate someone you were 'in love' with, but I've found that peope you truly loved often find themselves somewhere on the love-hate spectrum due to earnest affection and the pain of betrayal and abandonment.
