An appropriate gift from one character to another
Hey guys. I need some help on a point in my storyline. My main female and male characters are teenagers (17 or so) and they've been dating for a month. I need ideas on what the guy gives the girl. Remember, they're teenagers, so they don't have much money, and have only been together for a month, so it can't be something big like jewelry. I'm just looking for a cute, little gift. Any ideas?

a book
a poster
mix CD (cheesy, but it could work for your storyline)
over the course of my life the most common gift i've been given by a guy was shoes. i can think of at least four different guys who've given me shoes, for different reasons. only once was because i actually needed new shoes.

Why don't you look at the female's character and her likes, and have the male character buy her something that represents who she is, rather than just some usual stereotypical gift.
In my case, a month in to my relationship with my boyfriend, he gave me an iTunes gift card, cause that's what I wanted, rather than flowers or chocolate.

You are the writer... you can make it anything.
Jewelery does not always have to be big... you can get a nice necklace for a decent price..
The main thing is this... why is he giving her a gift and what purpose does it serve in the story? That will tell you what kind of gift it should be.
