Sierra Leones River System

Heya,

I am to be writing a story soon set in Western Africa. There are some river scenes set in Sierra Leone, sometimes major rivers. I have tried searching more information about Sierra Leones river system, but I have not gained much knowledge. The thing I really do know is:

-There are nine major rivers in Sierra Leone, five of which are shared by Guinea and Liberia.

Other than that, I am a little lost. I'm hoping their is an actual river that flows for quite a while, and spans from a point in the East to the western coast and out into the Atlantic Ocean. I know their might not be such a river, so that is why I am in need of knowing the location of these four other rivers (and possibly the five others). I did see a large river on google earth that ended (or started) at the coast, and went inland for awhile, but the path got lost in the rainforest and I couldn't follow it eventually.

If you know anything about Sierra Leones river system, or are a better searcher than me, could you kindly lend a hand?

(PS: I'm sorry if theres any falsehood in anything I said, or if I got some obvious facts mixed or completly butchered. I've not been that good the last couple of weeks of getting facts straight or remembering things.)

Why not look for a map. Perhaps if more people had one, they'd be less likely to get lost.

How hard is it to research? I googled Sierra Leone and immediately got this map, showing all major rivers and their flow. Sierra Leone Atlas: Maps and Online Resources — Infoplease.com

Thank you so much. I must have missed the map somehow. Thank you again.

CaptainFreedom is an unknown quantity at this point
You could look on Google Earth.

The story I'm writing now takes place in Boston. Even thogh I lived there for four years, it's good to be able to refresh my memory on where everything is. I use the Google earth for it all the time - it's the balls.
