Question for the gearheads and car buffs...
Hi,
I could use some help from those savvy in the world of high end cars. What are the names and models of the top of the line cars for brands like Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, and any domestic cars that would either leave you in cardiac arrest from sticker shock or aroused by the very sight of, depending upon your love of cars?
And just for the heck of it, if I had an obscene amount of money, wanted to go REALLY fast, and make sure I was impossible to miss, what 4 or 5 cars would I be looking at?
Known/established tweakers of high end cars are okay (like I think AMG is for Mercedes?) but I need examples of production cars, even if they're one offs or limited editions.
Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Google the Pagani Zonda. Pretty much the ultimate supercar of the moment. If your guy's a show-off, he might own a ford GT40, but if he's a driver, he won't; they handle like shit on European roads (most American cars do).
Ferrari is a good option, but Lambourghini has a little more cachet; Ferraris are a little more common. Or a Bentley Coupé - luxury car feel, 200mph performance.
Mercedes have some high performance supercars, like the Mclaren SLR, and they're more reliable everyday transport than Paganis, Ferraris or Lambos. Likewise Porsche. You don't have to be rich to own a porsche, but 911's have supercar performance and handling and are practical cars for everyday driving.
Down a level from there is about where I am - I have a Saab convertible with sport suspension and Fox racing wheels and a Mercedes CLK320 which looks gorgeous and goes like stink.
