Ghost town

Hi all,

I'm keen to write a short story about a young boy waking up in a strange abandoned town, basically a ghost town, except everyone appears to be murdered.

I've never tried to write about a ghost town, so would love some recommendations of other books that have done this.

Many thanks

Are we talking about a abandoned modern town or a "classic" wild west style ghost town?

try Desperation by Stephen King, that has a very good deserted town theme

I think the film Silent Hill and the games were set in a ghost town - maybe that might give you some ideas?
