How long from Vegas to LA...
How long would it take one to travel from Las Vegas to Las Angeles, using whatever means necessary? Their goal to get there as fast as possible. Would a plane be unecessary?

never took 2 hours when i was back and forthing!... unless it was in our own little cherokee 6... by jet, it's barely an up to altitude and back down again... check flight times of various airlines for exact time in the air...
and i've done it in less than 5 hours, but that probably involved some speeding for which i happily never got caught...

It's a one hour flight, flown it before.

...officially, i think it's like '55 minutes'... you barely have time to get a drink and down it, before they're back picking up the empties and telling you to put up your tray table...

The flight from Milwaukee to Chicago takes 18 minutes. You literally climb up to 18,000 feet and then make your descent into Chicago airspace.

sounds about right... the time i gave is the 'flying time' the pilot announces with his/her greeting... the times given on ticketing sites is the 'gate-to-gate' scheduled duration of the 'flight'... actual flying time can be as little as 45 minutes...
