Poaching in some cases and probably the majority of organized poaching is done for money.
As previously stated the pelts of fur bearers such as tigers, leopards, ermine mink, and seals beaver are always in demand somewhere. However medicinal uses of rhino horn, and bear gall bladder are also high up on the poachers list, not to mention ivory.
Who are poachers? Those in a position to locate and kill the desided animal for a profit and usually at the behest of a middler man who will sell the product to the end user. The end user is a Chinese doctor in the case of Rhino horn and bear gall bladders or someone who wants a particular fur.
