Probably a stupid question!
Hello
I want to write a historical novel more than anything, something with a bit of mystery and suspense.
The thing is, I would obviously have to research the background from other books, which I have no problem with. I was just wondering, do you need to reference the other books at the end of your novel? I suppose I dont want to get into trouble for using other books to get information from, even though I wouldnt be writing in the manner of an essay, where chunks are referenced directly.
I hope this makes sense, I'm very aware that it sounds rather rambling!
I hope someone replies soon!
Thanks.
Vicky
