Yeah. I see what you mean. I just thought that was the point of these boards: to ask people about their personal knowledge. I wanted to check here before I did much research myself.

imo, you've got that backwards... do your own research first... then check here, if you still need some gaps filled, or want to see if anyone has personal experience in the field...

I guess we work differently.

Actually, I think I'll change the almost death of a mare to almost death of a filly. That would be more interesting and probably easier to find information on. A mare would be more original and non-traditional, but I think the foal would work better for my purposes. Why didn't I think of that in the first place?!?!
