Does anyone know some vegetables that are typically harvested during Fall in mountainous regions of Europe or N. America? Also, I'm looking for vegetables as opposed to fruit trees. Thanks in advance!

and squash of all other kinds... as well as anything that can be planted late, to harvest in the fall... such as:
Avocados
Beans
Beets
Bok Choy
Broccoli
Broccoli Rabe
Brussels Sprouts
Cabbage
Carrots
Cauliflower
Celery Root (Celeriac)
Chestnuts
Collards
Garlic
Jerusalem Artichokes
Kale
Leeks
Lettuce
Parsnips
Pumpkin
Rutabaga
Salsify
Snow Peas
Spinach
Squash (Winter)
Sweet Potatoes
Swiss Chard
Turnips
Watercress
all of which you could have found as i did, by googling 'fall vegetables'
and mountain or valley makes little difference, as long as there's sun and water enough...
