I was wondering if anyone can help me with laws and sentencing, and also police procedure in Montana? In the story, the main character was abused as a 10 year old child (around 198

- what kind of sentence would the abuser get if he'd done it a number of other times?

I've tried googling, but haven't been able to find anything appropriate. Any advice or links you have would be much appreciated.

it depends on the type of abuse and what the statute of limitations is for that state... you can google for child abuse, incest, and sexual abuse statutes for the state...

you can google for child abuse and sexual abuse advocacy websites in montana...

sentencing would depend on the case/s... it could run anywhere from community service to life without parole...

although i've done pro bono legal work on such cases, you're not giving any info about your particular one, so i can't even guess closer than that... sorry...

creative googling will give you all you need...

I shall certainly give creative googling a go (love that term).

As with regards to the type of abuse in the story - the central character was sexually abused by her blood uncle when she was ten. He also did the same to four other girls.
