Double ended halberds
Is there an actual name for these? And if you have no idea what I'm talking about I mean a long pole with a blade on each end (the lightsaber Darth Maul used in Episode 1 of Star Wars...but with real blades). I've heard of double ended axes, but is there an actual name for them?

Bat'leth? You wouldn't get that unless you know Star Trek...
I know of such weapons, though I don't know their names. They are weilded like a quarterstaff, only they are much more lethal. Sorry, that's as much information as I can give you.

The Bat'leth in Star Trek is curves, with multiple sharp points. The thing in Episode one is a solid, straight pole, with energy beams emitting from each end. I can't think of the name of the real weapon. I would recommend speaking to a martial artist. It most assuredly is something only used by samurai warroriors from centuries ago, and has become nothing more than decorations.

Change warroriors to warriors. Wow, can't spell today at all.
