I have worked on some and I dont mind the challenge which it is, but does anyone know of any sites that kinda of...give you a layout and you can add or delete certain marks such as rivers or mountains....like a create-a-world site, something more assisting than a blank piece of paper.

I dont know of any sites but i found a good idea from a web site on how to build a map with paper and pencil.

Draw 3 dots on a piece of paper.
Draw some upside down v's in a line which doesnt have to be a straight line. Then name your mountain range(s)
Any gaps between the upside down v's can be passes.
Do some shakey lines from your mountain ranges which will be your rivers, then name them.
Seperate at least two of the dots with boarders.(---------)
Name the States, Counties or Countries on either side.
Add whatever else you want (e.g volcano, lake, ocean, desert, shoreline, islands off shore, forrest)
Name the cities.
Do a few more dots in interesting places and name these as your towns.
Draw small squares as ruins in out of the way places and call them whatever you like.

I love creating fantasy worlds. In grade six, me and my friend Jordan were gonna write a fantasy story toegether. It was a total Lord of the Rings rip off, but it as fun. We didn't write much, but drew a million maps. Sorry I can't help though. Do your maps in pencil and don't make them too different formt the real world.

what i do is just sit down and draw crazy maps and i keep drawing till i get something i like

You could try using a game of some sort to generate your world. If you wanted to make it look fairly human, Sim City would work, futuristic Sim City 2000 would be my recommendation. Or something even like Age of Empires. I know that there are mod programs out there that allow you to completely design the maps in which you would play the game on.

All those programs seem very limiting. I think your best bet would be to just draw it, regardless of artistic ability.
