Well, I need some help with this. Does anyone know of some good sites, books, or other resources to look into? I need them to be about japan - the language, the culture, etc. - and also about how a police force works? How do they go about the cases, looking for evidence, and all of the other things they do?

edit: Blah. I forgot to add this. The police I'm talking about are the american police. Mainly in Indiana, though, if anyone needs to specific state.

I know a lot about Japan. What type of cultral things do you need to know? I can help ^_^

I recommend the Jun Rain series of books by Barry Eisler, a really qualified writer. (He just beat out Dean Kuntz for an award, not that that would be so hard! )

Also, if it is modern stuff you are after, try Angry White Pajamas, sorry no url...can't be beat for atmosphere!
