I Need a Name
I'm writing a ballad and I need a name for one of the characters. It is set in the European Middle Ages. I want something interesting and different, I'm not against making something up if it sounds good. The only restriction is that it must be one syllable long because that's what I have alloted in the rhythm. So if anyone has a good idea, please share it. Everything I've come up with so far is simply corny.

This is a tough one...
Ren
Ken
Toole
Gar
Char
Ric
One syllable is too constrictive for cool sounding names. But that's what I got. Good Luck!

Gar or Ren sound like they might work. I'll think about it some more. Thanks for the suggestions, they're great.

You are all fools! Ulf is the ultimate name! It's one syllable, cool sounding, AND Scandinavian!

Wulf, Gert, Bram, Gaunt, Luff, Brin, Salk, Harp, Luke, Dane, Wyn
I think most of these sound 'middle ages'

I get most of my names from the movie credits on old TV movie re-runs. Try it. I get the whole family involved.
