Soldiers under siege.

I'm currently writing a story which involves a small group of soldiers in a cave, trying to hold the enemy at bay. It is during a siege, and they are part of a large network of such caves. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to write it. It's just such a static situation.

I know that soldiers from Stalingrad and the like have written whole libraries, collectively, on such experiences. I'd like to hear some reccommendations of some of those, so that I could make my siege a bit more interesting.

There's been a lot written about the Tunnels of CuChi, which was a simular situation during the Vietnam war. There's a book, I believe it's just called "The Tunnels of Cuchi" that is made up mostly of journal entries from soliders fighting in the tunnels. I've only skimmed the book and that was years at. Still, it might give you some ideas.
