in which religions can...

the minister/pastor/priest have children? I know Catholics can not, obviously, but aren't there some Christian religions where the pastor is allowed to marry and have children? I just need to know which denomenations can do so...thanks in advance!

Episcopal (sp?) priests can marry and have kids as can pastors and ministers in other Christian denominations such as Presbiterian, Nazarene, Baptist, etc.

I believe most protestant ministries are allowed to marry.

Are you only talking about Christianity or religions in general?

In Buddhism monks generally interpret the precept about "no sexual misconduct" as "no sex at all", but that's not always the case. In some traditions monks were family men - just ordinary guys with a wife and kids.

A number of famous Buddhist teachers in the West have been known to have sex with their students. Read up on Chogyam Trungpa.

they do in virtually all but the catholic...

episcopal/anglican are basically the same thing, anglican being the british version... and in some orthodox sects, as well... i'm not sure if both greek and russian orthodox priests can marry, but i think so... you can google to find out for sure...

Greek Orthodox priests can marry. I know a man whose father was a Greek Orthodox priest.

I don't know if you are interested in non-Christian religions.

Just FYI... in Hindu religion, a priest can get married and have children.

It's a very rare thing, but there is provision for a man to become a Roman Catholic priest who already has a wife and children. If, late in married life, he completes his priestly studies, he may get dispensation from the Vatican. One did earlier this year, in Scotland.

A married priest, such as an Anglican, who converts to Catholicism may also be ordained.

The Assembly of God branch lets youth pastors get hitched and ruin- I mean, have kids.

Same goes for the Open Bible Fellowship peoples.
