Please help
I have put out numerous requests of research assistance, and recieved not a whole lot in return. I don't know if that just means that everyone as well has been having a difficult time finding the information I seek, or if they are just ignoring me. *shrugs* doesn't matter either way.
I am in need of a site or location that I can find the popultation totals of a few particular countries during WWII, Korean Conflict, Vietnam and also the two Gulf Wars.
If at all possible a searchable database with this information would be great.
Also if anyone knows of a place to find the enlistment/drafted totals for the above listed conflicts for a few specific countries would be great too.

readily, i would not even no where to begin, hon - sorry.
if i come across anything, i'll let you know, but other than labouriously tearing through countless websites and libraries, I don't know how one would quickly and efficiently find info.
Best of luck and like I said, I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

Hi,
Sounds silly but have you tried googling the war names? Or perhaps type 'demographics' in and see if you are directed to the right place.
Also try sociological websites, political websites.
Or the only other place i can think of is if you are near a University campus they should have the details in their library.
good luck
Alex

For the Enlistee numbers for those wars, the information can be gotten via the Department of Defence historical records. You'll probably need to fill out a "Freedom of Information Act" request, and it'll take forever for them to get the information provided it isn't classified (which it shouldn't be), but that's the best source for that info.
As to the population index for those countries, I'd say check the Library of Congress for World Atlas' during that timeframe, or just search for that specifically (i.e. population, [country], [year war/conflict started], census).
From there you should have some decent directions to go to drill down some of that information into byte size chunks.
Hope that helps.
