Where to start research?
I am a young and new writer trying to find my niche. I have found my story(sort of) but it involves a lot of obscure subjects; such as: Ancient celtic pantheon and mythical creatures and legends of ireland. Also, I am looking for a reliable source of the Four Cycles of Ireland. I have crawled the web and the library, but I'm only getting bits and peices and i don't even think that they are reliable. I would like to ask for any good researching tips of fantasy writing. I am eternally greatful for any advice.

The sources you are likely to find about the ancient celts are going to be piecemeal and unreliable because much of what we have left is piecemeal and unreliable. I, personally, would suggest you look into less modern authors, and avoid anything that is qualified as spiritual. The pantheon will be hard to look into.
As for the spirits and creatures, they are as simple to find as fairy dictionaries. I have a few that were excellent resources for me; reading back and forth between dictionary and encyclopedia type books on fairies has been the best way to compile a view of the mythos. Unfortunately, the titles and authors are far away from me, therefore I can only tell you they were simple titles such as, "Dictionary of faeries" and the like.
And, as always, you could gather information from other fantasy novels, however it is best to keep in mind the author has taken a perspective on them. For that particular topic, you might want to look into the books Mary Stewart used for research, which includes Le Mort d'Arthur (it's fun to read anyway).
Good luck

for the Celtic Pantheon here is a really good site:
http://web.raex.com/~obsidian/PanIndex.html
there are links to many different Pantheons, including the Celtic, and they are VERY extensive, and also have mythological beings and such.
good luck!

hello there
this is all very helpful as I have just begun some research for my fantasy novel as well as another unrelated project, so I will post anything of relevance as soon as I can!
