A friend of mine is converting, so if you're interested I could as her, or direct her to you? Also, I have a "Big Book of Jewish Humor" (not with me right now, though, drat.), that has a lot of stories and humorous essays that give a unique look at cultural self-appraisal. I would suggest getting one if you can find it, just becuase it's one of the most entertaining reads I've found. I also have a selection of short stories by Sholom Aleichem which I haven't started yet, but he is supposed to be an important Jewish author. That's all self-appraisal material, but you'd be suprised how practical and honest it can be. I would look into Roman times for a start on anti-semitism, but I can't recommend anything directly.
Good luck,
-Kitten
