Thread: Can anyone help me with links/info re: slavery in Brazil?

I am stuck with what/where to search for information on slaves in Brazil. Basically, I want to research about slaves and their owners having children - not necessarily getting married or falling in love. So tales of illegitimacy, things like that. First hand accounts would be good too. I dont want to use wiki as my source, as much as i do like that site i am aware of its many discrepancies. I dont think I am using the right words to search on google because the results arent what I am looking for.

Does anyone know of certain sites that could lead me in the right direction? How about google wording. Im so stuck on this that I cant find the right words to use. Believe me, I've tried lots of ways!

Also try Bing search on msn.com. I've had good luck with it. Better than 95% of the time I don't have to try anything else.
