Reliable publishers/agents who accept email submissions?

Basically I'm a bit skint right now and can't afford all the expensive postal costs/printing all the time. I'm hoping the number accepting e-submissions has improved since I last sent my copy out, since I remember there used to something of a stigma about it, which was quite frankly ridiculous.

I remember Blomsbury used to accept online submissions, but now I look on their site and can't even find an option or guidelines to submit anywhere. Or am I just missing it?

I found one called Tweny First Century Publishers. Anyone heard anything about it?

CroZ, Very few publishers accept unsolicited scripts. Try appoaching agents, its the preferred route.

Go to your local library's reference section and find 'The Writer' and Artists' year book
2011' or 2012 (if they have it). Irish and UK agents are listed with their contact details and submission preferences.

To add to qwertyman's advice, you can also pick up this issue of Writer's Digest: Writer's Yearbook 2012. Full of publishers, how to contact them (including email), and other useful information.

Go here. AuthorAdvance | The Writers' Community It gives you listings of agents, agencies, and tells you how they want their submissions. I'd suggest you also go to each agency's website and see if they're a match before sending anything off.

I'm new here, but know a few good houses on the Internet. What genre do you write? There are a ton of smaller houses taking subs online. You can do a search for them and then ask around. I know mostly Romance and Urban Fantasy houses as that's where I write. I think it would depend on your goals too. Are you looking to have your work in print or Ebook or both? If you are aiming for a big 6, you're going to have to send it in to them. Just my thoughts.

A few of my friends are represented by The Rights Factory. They accept email submissions.

@Kyle, I have the writers and artist year book, a few of them actually. They're all a mess to find what I want and a lot of their listings don't even mention e-subs when I know the places allow them.

@Stacey, I write mainly fantasy but my one completed and ironed out book would be in the general fiction category. No interest in Ebooks unless I pulled a major publish who wanted it that way. General fiction seems to be a hard one to find publishers for, which is why I can't wait to just finish my run of the mill fantasy so I'l have more options.

@strangedaze, I'll take a look at the rights factory. Thanks.

This would be exactly what I'm looking for, except any criteria I put in just turns up zero results. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Thanks though.
