Can anyone recommend a good, trustworthy self publishing company please. After a bad experience, I need recommendations!

I have experience with CreateSpace, Amazon.com's self publishing arm. Their cost structure and policies are very straight forward. The quality of the finished product is quite high. Check them out at Createspace.com.
I ahve no experience with Lulu, but have read good things about them also.
I have published through lulu, getting the document format together is tedious, but I guess that's true anywhere, they seem to run continuous 'bargain' sales, but they deliver fine.
A Read for the Train, a collection of short stories, flash fiction and verse. Its cheaper on Lulu, 25% discount.

Doing it yourself is about as trustworthy as you can get. People such as printers and bookbinders do still exist, you know.
The advantage over that, Ox is that Lulu operates on print on demand, that means there is no big capital cost and you only pay for what you need.

I also recommend Amazon's Createspace.
