I'm not much for poetry, but I like this one. I even wrote a paper on it once.

Remedy

I adore this poem.

I had to write a paper on it last year (and I reused that paper this year, but shh, don't tell). Generally speaking, the more I have to analyze a poem, the more I'll start to dislike it; this is one of two exceptions of I can of for that rule. It's a beautiful poem and very effective.

It's a shame he died so young. His poetry was wonderful.

The irony of it was that the war ended a week after he was shot and killed at The Battle of the Sambre. Worse still, the news of his death reached his hometown just after the church bells started ringing to declare peace.
