A Glass Half Full, by Felix Dennis

Felix Dennis is probably the most talented modern poet alive. Typically, I eschew contemporary poetry because it lacks conviction and consciously avoids meter and a rhyme scheme, almost as if to say, "It's too difficult."

Also, it is quite ironic that the owner of Maxim magazine can produce poetry as excellent as the following pieces, featured in the book, A Glass Half Full.

    "Dead White Males" - http://www.felixdennis.com/frontpage...=11&prevnext=7

    "Udde~Well Pond" - http://www.felixdennis.com/frontpage...11&prevnext=20

"The Lamb Bids the Tiger Farewell" (fans of William Blake and Thomas Paine will especially like this one) - http://www.felixdennis.com/frontpage...11&prevnext=17

    "The Baby Boomers" - http://www.felixdennis.com/frontpage...=11&prevnext=3

The home page of his Web site contains other poems, but the book features many more (and better ones, might I add). Also, try listening to his readings of his work. Probably one of the most interesting voices to listen to.

Can you not directly post something, an excerpt at least, for discussion? As it is, this reads like a sales pitch.

Could anything be more cliche than than the whole glass is half-empty/half-full thing? I swear, this is the stuff to make Baby Jesus cry.

Oh, and by the way, most people with an IQ over 70 don't go clickity-clacking on links strange new people post. That's how you get viruses. Well, that and unprotected sex.

Yes, acknowledging you have a problem is the first step to a cure.

Interesting about the Maxim guy though. I have no qualms about following links. And I can't imagine what swift'd be selling. And sploogers don't get pissy and call themselves morons.
