For me it has to 'The Divine Comedy' by Dante.
The question I want to ask is this
1) should a poem be lengthy ( like a book) and ambigeous at the same time?
or
2) One or the other but not both because it is not right for the reader ?

Got your tenses wrong Nacian, your question asks for an answer to something that hasn't been written yet... You needed a to have been written. Either way, it is an unanswerable question.
A man in possession of a wooden spoon must be in want of a pot to stir.
Do you mean that 'The Divine Comedy' is The Most Difficult Poem Ever to be Written?
A poem should be laconic and the lines should not be too long.
