This

this heart hurts
breaks,
spills;
a rainbow’s spectrum
of compassion’s juices
flood the scenes
that so tenderly in-form
our laughable
in-significance.

cajole
as you will
brothers, sisters,
score these shoulder blades
with a thousand red strokes;
tug-of- war the ganglia
through the snaky hose
of the spine;
shout evisceration
for the nation;
only This matters.
This without end,
beginning
without reason.
This that endures.

I liked this (no pun intended)
I wasn't too keen on the last 3 but one 'This's though. I know you want the emphasis, but don't feel they're necessary.

Just a thought J.R. Good reading your stuff again
