Two of my shorter poems

The Sun

The Sun is benevolent.
It shuns cold, it shows us the way, it keeps us salubrious, and much more.
The Sun will always have a fervent love for us,
Does that mean we don’t have to thank him?

As long as roses are red
And violets stay blue.
I ‘will always love you.

While these are both FAR too short I do have to say that the first poem would be a fantastic starting point to something longer. It makes good use of repetition and fluency. In my opinion though, the second poem is basically just the cliche from hell and you could probably just scrap it.
